The high pressure sodium lamps consist of a clear tubular outer bulb of hard glass and a discharge tube of sintered alumina and an integrated antenna.

The discharge tube is filled under high pressure with a noble gas and a precisely measured dose of sodium. The noble glass serves to ignite as a starter gas and supplies during burning contributing to the light flux.

The antenna allows for reduced early failures, higher reliability and extend the service life. The Zirconium / Aluminum getter ensures improved enforcement of the light output and higher reliability.

High pressure sodium lamps should be used in conjunction with control gear and igniters that comply with the international IEC regulations.
